Self-portrait

Since written words are my most natural form of expression, one of the best ways to get a better sense of who I am, what I love, and what I believe is to read my blog posts.  You’re here at my personal blog site (Starla’s Word Stew), and I also welcome you over at my business blog site, OutWrite Living: http://outwriteliving.com

For way too many years believing that being gay is somehow “lesser than,” “wrong,” and something to hide.  I couldn’t have possibly been further from the Truth.  Acknowledging — and LIVING — my authentic orientation has given me a strength, compassion, and openness which I will always be grateful for.  My hope is that whatever “different” you personally might be dealing with) is a door to your own greatest experience of life.

I also hold a deep belief in the power of creativity to change our self-experience in a way that gives us greater access to our own talents, inner wisdom, spirituality and joy.

Not coincidentally, I lived for way too many years believing that creative pursuits were somehow “lesser than,” so I founded OutWrite Living as a container for services that help promote and facilitate the use of creativity as an essential part of healthy, productive, and profitable living.

Her true compassion… always extended to those for whom the world
had ceased to provide a new experience.
~ Ulrich Baer

I welcome the opportunity to support your creative exploration and growth!  See your available options (creativity coaching, writing coaching, writing services) at  OutWrite Living.com and contact me to get the conversation going!

Go, be beautiful.

Who is the person in the picture behind you?

Starla, the camera doesn’t capture the essence, the sparkle, the energy & curiousity that’s so you … but it does show your playfulness, your desire to reach out & be with others, the softer side of you.

This is really a very dear way to share yourself. I think you’re brave!

This is why I love the Internet … while looking up Rebecca’s Curiosity Cards to review on my blog (http://gagasisterhood.com), I found your post and clicked on the link to see your lovely face.
I’m going to notice people’s eyes today and also try using the cards as prompts for some deeper exploration of my universe!
And I thought Curiosity Cards were for kids!

Starla, thanks for offering to be nice to me even before we meet — that is a generous offer. I am not very facebooky, so if you can respond via email or phone (301) 758 3410 that will be easier for me. I look forward to getting your insights about word press and possibly introductions to people who can help me set up a web presence. Thanks so much.
